April Re-cap/Photo Dump

April Recap!

Before we get into it, I need to tell y'all I had to update my email subscription. Turns out changing my blog address DOES mess with it! (Sorry Lilly *laughs sheepishly*) (Thank you, Ellen, for letting me know!) I've updated it, so if you had a subscription, you might want to re-subscribe. Hope it works!

April was a whirlwind for us. It was when the reality of isolation kicked in, where we started to pull ourselves together and really hang onto Jesus because He's the hope of our hearts. Nothing really stands out in this month, but I'll share a bit of what we've been doing to pass the time!

In the mornings, we wake up, eat breakfast, and start on school. Usually we take a break midway through and play GaGa Ball on the trampoline. This is a SUPER fun game with any type of ball, with two or more players. What happens is y'all try to smack the ball with your hands and hit your opponents below the knees. If you're hit below the knees, you're out. The winner is the last one standing! Usually GaGa Ball games are full of laughter and diving and lobbing and tackling. Sometimes I'm laughing so hard I can't stand, so I end up having to spin around on the trampoline on my back so not to get hit while gasping for breath. Hilarity is usually a big factor of GaGa Ball if it gets crazy enough *winks*

After school is done, I usually work on my blog or Wanderlust, while Myla and Nikki hang out with our cousin over FaceTime, play games, or we all fly outside to Hobbit Rock down by our stream. One day we lugged planks of wood, three yogurt, peanut butter cracker, and Christmas boxes, two Nerf guns, and a bucket down to Hobbit Rock to play survivors (yes, I'm a teenager, and yes, I still enjoy playing make-believe with my sisters *grins*). We ended up having to get pulled back to the house way sooner than we wanted to, right after we tossed grass, the roots of ferns, algae, moss, and sticks into the bucket with stream water and created a soup concoction we DID NOT eat *laughing* It's been "cooking" at the rock for the past few days, and I'm surprised the rain hasn't made it overflow XD

In the evenings, our family usually gathers around to watch a movie, play a game, sing songs, or watch AFV. Then I crawl in bed and listen to an Adventures in Odyssey or I read a book.

This is usually the pattern of every single day, with little tweaks of different pass-times, but usually always a round of GaGa Ball (or two!) (and I don't know why it's called that *ponders*) commences sometime during the day. On Friday, I got extremely bored because everything we'd been doing suddenly got incredibly old and dull, so now Myla, Nikki, and I are in the process of making a movie called Cor 3000. Act One is already done! *cheers* *stops* *thinks about how frustrating it had been trying to get Myla and Nikki to act the scene correctly* *grimaces* *shakes head and continues writing* Anyway!

And that has been what has gone on in the month of April! Hope that wasn't too boring *silly face*

Now for an April-month photo dump!

  2. I remember playing outside and making soups and pancakes. We lived where there was juniper trees and we could use the berries in the soup.

  6. Sounds like you had a super awesome April! Now I wish I had a trampoline! There's a GaGa Ball pit at the summer camp I go to. It's so much fun! It gets crazy sometimes when we have 20+ people playing, but it's still the best! <3

  7. Sounds like a lot of fun! And it may seem boring at times but trust me, a boring routine is way better than no routine at all ;)

  8. It was cool reading about your April adventures! =D Hobbit Rock sounds intriuging - glad to know I'm not the only teen who still plays (or tries to play ;P) imaginary games with their younger sisters! I say "tries to play" because I am a bit out of the habit of imagining myself to be a raven haired mediaeval warrior princess, or pretending that the doll baby actually needs feeding every hour... XD That's a bit of a shame though because role playing with your sisters can be SO much fun. *giggles*

I LOVE filming short movies!!! *winks knowingly because it is SO hard to get people to act sometimes* *sighs* We started one once called Adventure to the Amazon - an extremely unrealistic plot in which some children take a school excursion to the Amazon Rainforest and get lost after their teacher goes crazy. It was lots of fun. :D

    1. *laughs* Jemima, I relate to that so much! I have held Nikki's baby doll once and awhile and played along when she's adamant the doll IS very much alive *giggles* But trying to flap my legs back and forth in the pool while playing mermaids is starting to get hard the more I grow, like you said about the raven-haired warrior XD Oh, boy, growing up is such a trial! *sighs* *laughs again*

Adventure to the Amazon *sounds* like it was lots of fun! We have yet to shoot Scene Two of Cor 3000 *facepalm*
