About Me

Howdy! My name is Isabella West, a horse-crazy, teenage girl. I am a Seventh-Day Adventist (I have permission to use this link), the daughter of a pastor, and an extrovert. 

Here are a few random facts about me: 

1. What I look like: I have blond curls that are growing out and are not quite the length of a pixie cut. I have green-blue eyes that change "colors" depending on what I wear. I am five feet and six inches tall.

2. Where I live: I live in a small town, out in the country, on a two-acre property, with a deck, a fireplace deck and a pool, an overgrown garden, and a small orchard with baby trees. My house is two-story and chocolate-brown outside. We have pine trees on one side and a field of wheat-looking plants on the other (what are those anyway??) Oh, and a trampoline!
3. My family: My family consists of my pastor father, Jon, my Physical Therapist mom, Rachel, my twelve-year-old sister, Myla, and my ten-year-old sister, Nikki. 
4. My pets: I own a party (brown-and-white) Aussie Labradoodle (an Australian Shepherd, Lab, and Poodle). He's mine.

I used to own a 23-year-old gray (she has a few brown "flea-bites") Quarter Horse mare named Magic Daisy. I miss her so much!

Myla or Nikki (I don't know who) owns Kabuki, a gray tabby cat.

 5. Likes and dislikes: I ADORE horses. My favorite breeds are Quarter Horses, Thoroughbreds, Arabians, and Morgans. I LOVE the colors grey, palomino, buckskin, silver dapple, chocolate taffy, chestnut, bay, and sorrel. I owned a Quarter Horse mare, pictured above, named Magic Daisy, and I boarded her at Inavale Farm before she had to be retired.

I dislike school (some of it).
I love Jesus.
I dislike cold weather.
I like snakes and lizards.
I dislike rattlesnakes.
I love blogging.
I dislike writer's block.
I love people.
I dislike messy rooms.
I love names — for both horses and people.
I dislike chemotherapy.
I love Breyer horses.
6. Favorite movie: Secretariat (!!!!!!!!), The Greatest Showman, and Newsies.
7. My favorite color: blue, purple, and yellow.
8. My favorite books: The Penderwicks by Jeanne Birdsall, The Andrea Carter series, Beginnings, Stepping Stones, Adventures, and Milestones, by Susan K. Marlow, and Winnie the Horse Gentler series by Dandi Daley Mackall. I also love Marguerite Henry's books. Oh, and The Last Bride. Oh, and Black Beauty. Oh! And The Black Stallion. And another "oh," because I forgot the Love Comes Softly series by Janette Oke *shakes head* why am I so forgetful? Plus there's Little Women and all the rest of my favorite book shelf. I dunno how many books are on there.....
9. My favorite musicians: for King & Country, Lecrae, KB, Hollyn, Daniella Mason, Ingrid Michaelson,  and Group 1 Crew.
10. Nicknames: Izzy, Ella, Ellie, Bella, and Isa.
P.S. West is my pen name. It is not my real surname. I don't share my real surname for safety reasons around the internet.
