Meet My Buddies, and What I Do while Admitted
Hi y'all!
Today my buddies - Jimmy and Charlie! - say hi!
Jimmy is a gorgeous black and gray (maybe brown?) male cat who visited me every Thursday when I am in the hospital. Today he visited me, for the last time, because I'll never be back again (that was sad; uh, I mean, me not seeing Jimmy again is sad, not the part about me leaving, that's not sad at all!).
Anyway, he's HUGE (in height, not weight *wink again*) and he LOVES me, and I LOVE him. Here are some photos of him:
If any of you are wondering, this is what I do while hospitalized.
I write.
I blog.
And when I'm not writing or blogging, I'm sleeping or reading. The books I am currently reading are The Palomino by Katy Pistol, Wildfire The Red Stallion and Other Great Horse Stories complied and edited by Joe L. Wheeler, and Eight Cousins or The Aunt Hill by Louisa May Alcott.
Sometimes Mom paints my nails, toes and fingers. Today she painted them an elegant, lavender purple. I also got a silver ring with a heart on it, to represent my bravery and love during this (Mommy got it for me <3)
And there's Zuri, my rainbow monkey. The boyfriend of my pink ape, Ruby, who is stuck under a pile of Beanie Boos at home.
I love to post while I'm here at the hospital (bwahahahaha), but I can't post too many things, or I'll overwhelm you guys and overwhelm myself! *mischievously wiggles fingers below chin*
Then there's Charlie, my beloved horse whom I ride at Inavale Farms. He isn't mine, but he's my baby, even if I don't own him. We're very close and just started learning how to canter.
Charlie is a dark bay Thoroughbred gelding who is in his early to mid twenties. He doesn't look that old, does he? The horse in the last photo (her nose is peeking out) is a chestnut Quarter Horse mare who is rather grumpy named Trufflez. Nikki rides her. My sister Myla rides a thirty-two-year-old Anglo-Arab gelding named Shadowfax, and he's a flea-bitten gray. Trufflez is also twenty, but she acts five and looks five.
Shadowfax is ancient, and yet he is springy and spunky as a three-year-old; that's most likely because he's mostly Arabian, and Arabians can live forever. well, not forever, literally. Just super old.
I used to ride an Appendix Quarter Horse named Josee, but I love Charlie even more. I also used to ride a horse named Mystic Prince, however he and I never felt super close.
Charlie has heart, and I love him for that.
Anyway, just a tad bit about Jimmy, Charlie, and my days in the hospital!
Tallyho!

Just a heads up:
on my other blog "My Fiction" I post a story every Thursday. Today I posted Chapter Two of a story called The Race Against Time. It is an unfinished book of three chapters that I've actually fallen in love with and may finish, so keep your eyes peeled for future Kentucky Derby stories! *winks* I know I put a note in my last post, but I'll give you guys a heads-up every Thursday here when I post on that blog, too :D

DeleteI'm home, everyone! YIPPEE!!! That means I'll never have to go back to that hospital for inpatient chemo.
ReplyDeleteOn Wednesday, I have an outpatient chemo, but that lasts only about an hour or so.
Anyway, thank you all for the prayers during this journey! It has come nearly to an end. Sadly, we still have the threat of radiation.
Prayers appreciated for no radiation and complete healing <3
