PQ&Answers

I enjoyed reading all the questions - and so did Jack and Kabuki! They can't wait to tell y'all about themselves *winks*

The first questions are for Kabuki!

From Lilly to me for Kabuki:
1. How long have you owned you cat? We've owned Kabuki since she was a kitten, which will be six years ago in May of 2020.
2. What breed is your cat? She is a Maine Coon (also called American Longhair) mix.
3. Is you cat friendly? She's very friendly and tolerates pretty much anything, but she is shy. She won't hurt you, she'll just run away. She's sassy and sweet, and probably has the biggest personality I've ever seen in a cat. I don't know why but my family and I can't seem to adopt normal cats. Every single one we've owned has been unique and spunky and sometimes quite stupid.

The second, third, and fourth questions are to and for Jack!

From Patience to me for Jack:
1. Does your dog know any tricks? Yes, he does! He knows "shake," "high five," "stay," "roll over," "stand pretty," "gentle," and "gimme some." Most of these probably sound familiar, the ones that don't I'll explain. Stand pretty: he rises up on his hind legs. We're trying to stop teaching him this one, because it makes him jump up on people. Gentle: waiting to take the treat and when it comes time for him to have the treat, he takes it super slowly and gently. Gimme some: there's no treat in a closed fist; show that fist to Jack and say gimme some, and he'll boop you with his nose (I'm not sure if he actually thinks about it, or if he's just smelling the hand to see if there's a treat in it LOL)2. How old is your dog? He'll be six December 22nd.
3. What's your favorite thing about your dog? I don't think I can pick. Except . . . he is to-die-for adorable.
4. How long have you had your dog? Six years.

From Sadie S. to Jack:
How old are you? Hi Sadie! Thanks for asking me questions. I'm almost six years old. I was born December 22, 2013.

When did you come to live with Izzy's family? How old were you at that time? I came to live with Izzy and her folks in March of 2014. I was twelve weeks old, and a complete fluff ball.

What color and breed are you? I am a Party-colored (brown-and-white) Aussie Labradoodle. I only have a tiny bit of Aussie in me, and mostly Poodle. Izzy has my pedigree at home.

Do you like to go on people's laps? Or are you too big? I wish I could go on people's laps! In fact, I wish I could crawl inside my Humans. But everybody says I'm too big. I don't think so, though. My human dad won't let me even on the couch.

Do you like cats? They're funny creatures. I love Kabuki, but she sometimes scares me. When she approaches, I don't know whether to run or sniff her. I usually sniff her and she makes a weird rumbling noise in her throat, and curls between my legs. She almost always is friendly. I'm usually the one who is feeling frisky and I chase her under the shed. I don't do that often though! Izzy and her family doesn't like it when I do that.

What's your favorite food? Anything other than dog food. My dog food stinks - literally. I hate it. I love scrambled eggs. But my favorite? Probably treats.

Do you know if you have any brothers and sisters? I do! I don't know how many, but Izzy and her family almost took my brother, who is the reverse of me. They thought I was cuter though and better mannered.

Do you like to go for walks? I LOVE walks and runs! I run with Izzy's mom. I get super excited whenever she starts putting shoes on. Sometimes I even trample everybody because I get so happy.

Do you live inside or outside? I live inside, but my human dad sometimes talks about letting me live outside. But Izzy, her mom, and her sisters won't let that happen, even when I get super stinky. Honestly, I think my human dad enjoys me more than he admits.

Do you have a favorite spot to sleep? Beside the front door. I love it there on hot summer days, laying on the cool hardwood floor.

Do you like to play? Oh yeah! The girls and I chase each other around the living room and we play "fetch," and we wrestle and growl and bark and have a ton of fun. Thanks, Sadie, for asking me these questions!

From Horsegirl to Jack:
~Do you have a favorite color? Red looks really good on me.
~How about a favorite toy? I don't really. Toys seem kind of boring right now. They used to be amazing, but now my toys are outside (see question below).
~Do you like tennis balls or sticks better? Sticks, sticks, sticks! And bones. Sometimes I find bones around the property. Once I found a dead rat and brought it inside (that was fun!). Once my friend, Loki (he's a pug-dachshund-plus-a-ton-more mutt), found the leg of a recently deceased chicken.
~Do you like to cuddle? I LOOOVE to cuddle. I will sit with you all day, twenty-four-seven, and beg you to pet me. I like to paw at people and give them puppy eyes. I LOOOVE cuddles!!!
~Where is your favorite place to sleep? Right beside the front door on the cool hardwood floor. Even if I have to sleep on top of shoes.
~Is Kabuki your friend? I think so. She only hates me when I chase her under the shed. She gets scared easy, and that scares me.
~Have you met Magic Daisy yet? The gigantic white, four-legged, long-faced beast-dog? Yeah. She and I sniffed each other, but she seems kind of flighty and aloof. I'm not too sure what to make of her. I tried to sniff her around the back like any dog would and Izzy shooed me away. I don't know why. Something about getting kicked. Speaking of which, what's up with that lady's paws???
~When is your birthday? December 22, 2013.
~What is your favorite treat? Trader Joe's treats. I love 'em all! Thank ya, Horsegirl, for asking me these questions!

Aww, well, that wraps it up, folks! Be on the lookout for PQ&A part 2!

Thank you all for the prayers. My stem cell transplant is done, and now I am waiting to be released when my immune system comes back. To be specific, I'd really appreciate it if y'all could pray for a quick recovery, no more allergic reactions to preservatives (I got to the point of suffocation because of a horrible and rare allergic reaction to the preservative in the cells which had to be cured with an epi-pen), no mouth sores, and the ability to stay away from blood transfusions. We can feel the prayers, especially on Monday during my allergic reaction! God is good!
