Old Stories Part I: The ABC Generation Series Ch4

Howdy, folks!

After this chapter, you can add you own ending! Read below for details:

Rules:
1. The ending can't be more than 3,000 words long. Separate your story into chapters, unless it is only fit for one chapter.
2. Please have your story be appropriate for all ages.
3. You don't have to, but the suspicious, creepy man from the airplane in later chapters might be a good person to add into your story . . . if you'd like.
4. Have fun!

Once you've finished your story, email is to 13lovespalominos@gmail.com (my new email address). This is not a contest. Actually, I'll be posting each entry so you can read each different ending, one each weekend.

You can enter the "contest" part of these posts. If you want, you can ask to have your story be the permanent "ending" for the the Old Story. If there are more than one entries for this question, I will pick the winner who will help spur my plot along. Maybe someday you'll see your story in one of my self-published books! However, if you want this to happen, you'll have to be OK with me editing a little if I see anything I need to change. Don't worry, y'all who don't make it on some stories will have other chances on future Old Stories posts! So keep the stories coming! :D <3

This is something you do not have to do. This is out there so y'all can do it if ya want. If no one wants to, that's totally OK.

CHAPTER FOUR

The doctor said that Amy’s wound would heal and she would be able to go back to work in a few months. A week! Bri groaned. Without big sister, stuff could get bad. Bri felt insecure without Amy, especially when Cindy went nuts.
Amy was badly bruised and her stomach looked nasty, all stitched up. She slept most of the time, and anything she said was just a mumble.
“How will I manage Cindy?” Bri groaned, putting The Bronze Bow down. She lay on the bed she shared with Cindy, arms stretched out. “Cindy is unmanageable.” She had seen her mother try to corral Cindy countless times. Cindy was stubborn, strong, and crazy.
But Grandma corralled Cindy easily. So Bri quit worrying.
But then there was Chase. He lived next door, a disadvantage, and would come every second to check on Amy. Is she okay? How is she? Can I talk to her? It made Bri nervous when Amy hobbled out to meet Chase in the living room.
“How about you two go on a walk?” Grandma suggested when the day got too rough and boring. Amy lay in her bedroom, napping.  It was Friday and the two ABCs had done everything possible to entertain themselves: riding, board games, card games, playing in the mud, having a water fight. And here they were, standing in the shower with their swimsuits on while water poured on their heads, washing the remaining mud away. Grandma stood in the bathroom, spouting ideas.
“Another ride? How about that?” Grandma asked.
Bri snorted. “No.” Even she, who loved horses dearly, was sick of the saddle.
Cindy yelped. “Ow! Water in my eye! Water in my eye!”
Bri grabbed the washcloth and rubbed it viciously on Cindy’s face. Soon her whimpers died down and Grandma continued. “Okay, well, how about we go into town?”
“We could get Bri a boyfriend,” Cindy taunted.
Bri erupted. “NO!” She smacked her sister with the washcloth and then grabbed the showerhead and sprayed the water in Cindy’s face. Sputtering, Cindy slapped the shower away. When peace returned, Cindy said, “That was payback for what you said earlier.”
Bri had teased Cindy earlier for being a coward on horseback since Amy’s accident — and she didn’t blame her — so it hadn’t been nice, but both had been is sour moods.
“Whatever.” Bri sighed. “Any other ideas, Grandma?”
“How about we go to a movie?”
“No,” said them both. “There’s no good movies and we’re definitely not watching that stupid new movie, Frozen.”
Grandma sighed. “I don’t have any other ideas, dears, so you better find a way to get around today.”
Silence. Bri guessed Grandma had walked away. So she leaned down and turned off the water.
“Hey!” Cindy glared at her. “I wasn’t done with that, Brianna Bella Key.”
“Sorry, grumpy.” Bri glared back at her, then dropped her eyes. “I stopped the shower because I have an idea.”
“Oh?”

“Yes. A good one. C’mon, let’s go get dressed.”

What happens next? What idea did Bri get? Do they run into trouble as they unravel a mischievous prank? Or does the creepy man from the airplane make a spooky entrance? It is your choice! If you want to write the ending, comment down below or tell me in the contact me form on the sidebar. Send your story to 13lovespalominos@gmail.com.
